Job Description:
First Urology is the largest urologic provider in the greater Louisville and southern Indian area, offering comprehensive urologic care for men, women and children of all ages. We have multiple openings for Louisville KY, and Jeffersonville, IN. Current Medical Assistants/CNA’s are encouraged to apply. Certification is preferred, but not required.

Full-time & part time opportunities available, Day shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting room, and exam room experience.
- Prepares patients to be seen by physicians, collects vital signs and testing as required by the healthcare provider.
- Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an EMR system.
- Performs diagnostic tests and processes and enters results.
- Communicates patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider. Provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and via email, as well as ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a verifiable medical assisting or nursing diploma/degree program and previous experience or assisting internship.
- Skilled in Phlebotomy
- One or more years of experience in an outpatient clinic or medical practice.
- One or more years of demonstrated customer service experience.
- Experience working with an EMR system.
- Current Certification from; American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or (RMA) Certification, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
