The latest issue of Med-A-Scoop is here, and it’s packed with important updates for Indiana medical assistants!
One of the biggest highlights is the upcoming 70th Annual ISMA Conference, “Spring Training for Medical Assistants,” taking place April 17–19, 2026 in New Harmony, Indiana. This milestone conference will offer educational sessions worth up to 8 CEUs, networking opportunities with colleagues across the state, and time to reconnect with fellow members while celebrating the continued growth of our profession.
Members will also have an opportunity to help shape the future of the Indiana Society of Medical Assistants during the Annual Business Meeting on April 18, where several items will be discussed, including proposed bylaw amendments. These proposals include separating the duties of the Med-A-Scoop Editor and Website Development Officer into two distinct roles and updating the notification timeline for future bylaw amendments.
In addition to conference planning and governance updates, this issue shares board meeting highlights, committee updates, education opportunities, and reminders about raffle baskets and door prizes that support ISMA initiatives.
With 2026 marking major milestones and continued opportunities for involvement, members are encouraged to stay engaged, attend the conference, and help guide the future of ISMA.
Let’s continue to Pay It Forward and support one another as medical assistants across Indiana!
